Frequently Asked Questions
To rent a self-drive car with GoWheelo in Delhi, you must hold a valid Driving License (Learner’s licenses are not accepted). At pickup, you must submit any one original government ID (Aadhar Card, Voter ID, or physical DL). This original ID is securely held at our hub and returned immediately upon drop-off.
Yes, our self-drive cars are permitted for travel across Delhi NCR (Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad) and outstation trips to nearby states. However, please note that State Entry Taxes for crossing into Haryana, UP, or Rajasthan are not included in the rental price and must be paid by the renter at the respective borders.
As per 2026 Delhi government regulations, parking charges at MCD and NDMC sites double whenever GRAP Stage III or IV is active. These increased parking fees are the responsibility of the renter. To save on costs during these periods, we recommend using DMRC (Metro) parking lots, which are currently exempt from this price hike.
GoWheelo guarantees a transparent refund process. After you drop off the car at our Delhi hub, our team performs a quick check for new traffic challans or physical damages. Once verified, your fully refundable security deposit is processed and returned to your account within 24 to 48 hours.
No, our competitive Delhi car rental rates are exclusive of fuel. We follow a simple "Like-to-Like" policy: the car is handed over with a specific fuel level, and you simply return it with the exact same level. This gives you the freedom to refuel at your preferred stations across Delhi and NCR.
We offer flexible packages to suit your needs. Most of our Delhi car rental plans come with a generous total kilometer allowance based on your booking duration, rather than a strict daily cap. This allows you to use your kilometers flexibly for city errands or long-distance trips. Any excess distance is charged at a flat per-km rate.
We understand that traffic on the DND Flyway or the Gurugram border can be unpredictable. We provide a 30-minute grace period for all returns. Beyond this, late fees are charged on an hourly basis. To avoid penalties, we recommend extending your booking via the GoWheelo app at least two hours before your scheduled end time.
Absolutely! Our Delhi fleet includes everything from fuel-efficient hatchbacks for navigating narrow lanes in Old Delhi to premium 7-seater SUVs (like the Innova or Scorpio) for family trips. We also offer a wide selection of Automatic transmission cars to make driving in Delhi's heavy stop-and-go traffic much more comfortable.
Yes! GoWheelo has multiple pickup hubs near major transit points. You can pick up your car at New Delhi Railway Station (Paharganj/RK Ashram), IGI Airport (Aerocity), or at major Metro hubs including Hauz Khas, Rajouri Garden, Dwarka Mor, Malviya Nagar, and Shalimar Bagh. We also serve INA, Samaypur Badli, and Rohini Sector 18 for easy access.
