Frequently Asked Questions
To rent a car with GoWheelo in Goa, you must hold a valid Driving License. At pickup, you simply need to submit any one original government ID (like your Aadhar Card or Voter ID), which is safely returned at drop-off. You do not have to surrender your original physical Driving License!
Yes, we offer convenient delivery near both Manohar International Airport (Mopa) and Dabolim Airport. Due to strict Goa airport and taxi union regulations, rental cars cannot be handed over directly in the arrival lanes. Our team will coordinate a quick, hassle-free handover at a designated secure spot just outside the terminal.
GoWheelo believes in absolute transparency. We require a fully refundable security deposit that varies depending on the specific car model. Unlike local vendors who hold your money for weeks, GoWheelo processes your refund instantly during drop-off. As soon as you return the car in good condition, your deposit is returned to you right then and there.
No, driving any vehicle on the beaches in Goa is strictly illegal and highly dangerous. The Goa Police levy massive fines and will immediately confiscate the vehicle. Any towing charges, underbody damages, and police fines incurred from driving on the sand will be the absolute responsibility of the renter.
No, we do not restrict your travel with daily limits! Every single vehicle in our Goa car rental fleet comes with a completely unlimited kilometer package. You can explore everything from the bustling North Goa beaches to the quiet South Goa resorts with absolute freedom, without ever worrying about extra per-kilometer charges.
Our self-drive rental cars are strictly permitted for use within Goa state boundaries only. Crossing state borders into Maharashtra (like Malvan) or Karnataka (like Gokarna) is prohibited, as our commercial rent-a-cab vehicles require special inter-state tourist permits and border taxes which are not included in the rental.
Your safety and peace of mind are our priority. GoWheelo only provides legally registered "Rent-A-Cab" vehicles with black license plates and yellow lettering. We never rent out private white-plate cars, which are illegal for self-drive tourist rentals and will lead to police harassment, vehicle seizure, and heavy fines in Goa.
Our car rental prices are highly competitive and exclusive of fuel. We follow a simple and transparent "Like-to-Like" fuel policy. The car will be handed over to you with a specific fuel level, and you simply need to return it with the exact same fuel gauge level to avoid any extra refueling charges.
We offer a standard 30-minute grace period for returning your car. Beyond that, late fees apply on an hourly basis. Since routes to Mopa and Dabolim airports can face unexpected traffic, we highly recommend extending your booking through the GoWheelo app at least a few hours in advance to avoid penalties.
Yes! GoWheelo offers a diverse fleet tailored for Goa’s diverse roads. Whether you need an easy-to-drive automatic hatchback for the narrow village lanes of Anjuna, or a spacious 7-seater SUV (like an Ertiga or Innova) for your entire family trip, we have the perfect vehicle ready for you.
