What documents are required for a self-drive car rental in Jaipur?

To rent a car with GoWheelo in Jaipur, you must have a valid Driving License (LMV). At the time of pickup, you are required to submit your original physical Driving License for verification. We also require one additional original government ID (Aadhar Card or Voter ID), which is safely stored at our hub and returned to you immediately upon the safe return of the car.

Can I drive a rental car to Nahargarh Fort and Amer Fort?

Yes! Our self-drive cars are perfect for navigating the winding, uphill roads to Nahargarh, Amer, and Jaigarh Forts. However, please be cautious during the descent as the roads are steep. Always use a combination of engine braking and foot brakes. We recommend our Automatic transmission cars for a much more comfortable experience on these hilly heritage routes.

How long does it take to get the car security deposit refunded?

GoWheelo ensures a transparent and reliable refund process. After you drop off the car at our Jaipur hub, our team performs a quick inspection for damages and checks for any new traffic challans on the Rajasthan Police portal. Once verified, your fully refundable security deposit is processed and returned to your account within 24 to 48 hours.

Can I take the rental car from Jaipur to Pushkar, Udaipur, or Agra?

Absolutely! Our self-drive cars are permitted for outstation trips to Pushkar, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and even Agra. However, please note that for trips to Agra (Uttar Pradesh), you will need to pay the State Entry Tax at the border. State taxes and highway tolls (FASTag) are not included in the rental price and must be paid by the renter.

Does the car rental price include fuel?

No, our competitive Jaipur car rental rates are exclusive of fuel. We follow a simple "Like-to-Like" policy: we provide the car with a specific fuel gauge level, and you return it with the exact same level. This gives you the freedom to refuel at any of the major petrol pumps across the city or on the highways.

Are GoWheelo cars legally registered for self-drive use?

Yes! For your safety and to avoid police harassment, GoWheelo only provides legally registered "Rent-A-Cab" vehicles with black license plates and yellow lettering. In Jaipur, the police are very active in checking for illegal private white-plate rentals; driving one can lead to vehicle seizure and heavy fines for tourists.

What are the parking rules for rental cars in Jaipur’s Walled City (Pink City)?

The Walled City (near Hawa Mahal and Johari Bazaar) has very narrow lanes and limited parking. We highly recommend using the Bapu Bazar Underground Parking or the Ram Niwas Bagh (Central Park) Parking lot. Avoid parking on the main roads of the Pink City to prevent your rental car from being towed or fined by the Jaipur Traffic Police.

Is there a daily kilometer limit for car rentals in Jaipur?

No, we do not restrict you with rigid daily caps! You receive a total kilometer allowance based on your overall rental package, which you can use flexibly over your entire trip. This is perfect for a mix of city sightseeing and a long-distance drive to Khatu Shyam Ji or Salasar Balaji. We also offer unlimited kilometer options on select models.

What happens if I return the car late due to traffic?

We understand that traffic near the Sindhi Camp Bus Stand or the Ajmer Road flyover can be heavy. We provide a 30-minute grace period for all returns. Beyond this, late fees are charged on an hourly basis. To avoid penalties, we recommend extending your booking via the GoWheelo app at least two hours before your scheduled drop-off.
